Water Sports in Devon

Devon Coast Day Sailing

Our Devon Coast Day Sailing provides a lovely day out and is a great introduction to heritage vessels. Add to that the fact that you will be sailing along the stunning South Devon coastline. Your cruise provides a one day ‘taster’ of traditional sailing in the sheltered waters of Start Bay, Lyme Bay and Torbay.

Sailing on Pilgrim is a unique and exhilarating  experience

Not only will you have a superb day out sailing our 127 year old Brixham trawler, but you will see how Victorian fishermen handled these heavy and powerful vessels. You will be able to assist the crew to sail Pilgrim in the traditional manner yet benefit from the modern guest facilities we have on board.

Xtreme Coasteering

If it is rugged and a sense of adventure you are after then North Devon is the place for you. This is where Exmoor meets the sea and you certainly know about it, with the stunning scenery comes big sea cliffs which gives us great ledges to jump from and cliffs to climb.

We use number of locations throughout North Devon including Hele Bay, Croyde Bay, Woolacombe and the River Torridge depending on the conditions and activity.

Surfing Croyde Bay

It is an adventure sport which involves coastal exploration. When you coasteer, you navigate and traverse an area of coastline at sea level. You do this by rock climbing, sea level traversing, scrambling, swimming, sea cliff jumping and even belly flopping along the coast.

You’ll explore the impact zone, where water, waves, rocks, gullies, caves etc., come together to provide a very high energy environment. You will get an entirely new dimension of the coastline you explore. You get very close to the natural habitat of sea life and fauna.
