"Sixteen old cricketers really enjoyed their stay at Homecroft in May . The facilities are spacious and excellent, with a first class kitchen and this along with the bathrooms and bedrooms are presented in a superb clean condition . The TV lounge was good size for watching sport with a beer and with darts and table tennis available there is plenty to do.
Sitting on the deck, by, or in, the pool and the jacuzzi was a great way to relax and catch up at this cricket reunion . Just a 10 minute stroll away are the pubs in the village with good beer, fine food and skittles if you want to play .
For a big family trip, a reunion or a secluded get away in beautiful Mid Devon, you cant find a better more relaxing and friendly property.
We will be back next year"

"Homecroft is a beautiful place, tucked away in the Devon hills, with a large house with plenty of space and brilliant facilities makes for the perfect getaway home.
We booked this for us and friends to enjoy over our wedding weekend and it didn't disappoint!
Heated pool, and hottub alongside a table tennis table and games room you'll always have something to do.
To top it off they have friendly hosts who respond promptly.
Will definitely look to stay here again for another large family gathering"

We had such a fantastic stay at Homecroft! A group of 13 of us stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday and all left determined to visit again! We came from London (and Ireland), had no problem finding the house and were greeted warmly. The house is really beautiful and actually better than the photos (which were already great) suggest. The space is huge and we had everything we needed to cook big communal meals and lounge by the fire. We used all of the outside space - the pizza oven being a highlight! The views are just beautiful in Autumn but we'd love to come back in the Summer too. We had great communication from the hosts from start to finish.. Highly recommended!

We had a great family break with Iain being a friendly host. You need to ask before you arrive if items like towels, cots etc are part of the package, so if not sure ask, Iain will respond promptly. We would book this venue again.

Great location, hot tub and animals were great, as was the pizza oven. We had to pay extra for the wood we burnt (it may well have been written down somewhere and I missed it) but it wasn't much at all. I can see it being great for stag and hens but also for family and friends get together. Highly recommended!

This house is the ideal setting for a weekend away with friend. Heated Pool, hot tub, chickens, geese, games room, pizza oven outside, football tables outside, open plan kitchen. Unbelievable.

We had such a wonderful time at this incredible house. There is so much to do there from splashing in the pool to air hockey in the games room, to ping pong and of course the hot tub. We had a very large family group (20 in total) with an age range of 3 yrs to 77 and everyone was comfortable and loved their stay. Iain is a very welcoming and helpful host and did whatever he could to make us comfortable. We hope to be back at Homecroft one day - it’s a very special place.

Simply put 'AMAZING’. Iain is a lovely, well-travelled and well-read chap. From his great communication to his warm welcome Iain made us feel comfortable and at ease from the minute we arrived. Homecroft is a beautiful property with stunning views and many great features. Our group spanned three generations of our family ranging from 70+ to toddlers, Homecroft was able to keep them all happy and entertained. The pool, pizza oven, BBQ, games room, Hot Tub, outdoor table tennis, chickens and various verandas with stunning vistas had plenty of use and made our time at Homecroft special. Thank you Iain for being such a great host and giving our family great memories.

Enjoyed an outstanding laid-back stag weekend at Homecroft. The house and area are beautiful, a stone's throw from Exeter but far enough away to feel removed & very, very relaxed. Highlights included the pizza oven, swimming pool & games room, recovery naps on the lawn with Iain's cats, & walking down to the chickens for eggs in the morning. Superb lunch at the nearby Ring of Bells too. Iain is the friendliest & most communicative host I've had the pleasure of meeting. Highly recommended!

Wonderful house and a very warm welcome from Iain who showed us everything we needed to know about on arrival. We spent 2 days here swimming in the pool, making pizzas in the wood fired oven and enjoying the weather. Will definitely be back!

A great house as a base. The house has everything you may want. We didn't have time to use the pizza oven. The local pub serves fantastic food and is only a short walk away. Iain met us on arrival and was very prompt with communication. A great weekend. Exeter chiefs won the rugby as well!!

Had an absolutely brilliant weekend at Homecroft. The house is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for a group getaway. Iain was a brilliant host, giving a quick tour on arrival and making sure we were all sorted for beds etc. then dropping by every now and then to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. I highly recommend Homecroft for anyone wanting a beautiful country getaway!

We had a fabulous stay at home croft for my hen weekend. The house was large enough to fit all 18 of us in comfortably and the garden is beautiful! We made full use of the pool, and pizza oven and eggs from the chickens!

Fantastic! Homecroft is the perfect venue. Look no further! Iain was a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process and an exceptionally accommodating host during our stay. After a quick guided tour on arrival, Iain let us get on with the important matter of enjoying ourselves. The house really delivers on all points and everything is as listed. All rooms are clean and tidy, prepared ready for your stay. There are plenty of beds (12 of us stayed comfortably), the kitchen is a great size and has everything you might need to cater for large groups. During the day we made full use of the outdoor pizza oven, games room and amazing swimming pool. In the evening we put the fire pit to good use, burning pallets provided. There's loads of seating on the decking and throughout the garden, so we could all hang out and enjoy the relaxed country setting. We brought the weather with us, so the sun really helped. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Homecroft to anyone looking to host a party/stag do.

We booked Iain's house in Cheriton Fitzpaine for 16 of us to stay over New Years. Iain was so welcoming and helpful once we had arrived and was also accommodating on the time in which we could do this as some of our party arrived early. We were welcomed with mulled wine and mince pies which was ideal after our 5 hour journey! Further I had emailed ahead to see if there were cake tins at the house as it was one of our groups birthday, Iain made sure this was provided. The house was just as described and set amongst the beautiful Devon scenery with great facilities - there is a hob with six rings, a separate oven and an aga, which made cooking for 16 easy and there was plenty of fridge space for our supplies. We also made pizza in the pizza oven. Iain also has hens out the back and said we could help ourselves to eggs, which we definitely would have done had we not come with something like 124 eggs (over prepared!). Sadly due to the overly wet weather that was experienced over NYE in much of the UK, we didn't get out for walks too much. But there is a lovely pub called the Ring of Bells which we managed to venture out to. And it was lovely and cosy to sit in front of the open fire in the living room of Iain's house, watching DVDs and playing games. I honestly could have stayed here for more than three nights! And it would be lovely to come here in the summer too, to make the most of the pool and the space out the back! Thanks for a lovely break from the city Iain!

Iain is a wonderful host, taking time to show us the house and how everything worked. It's a large comfortable home, beautiful garden, fantastic pool, hot tub and pizza oven. Our boys loved the games room and collecting eggs from the hens. We are great full for a wonderful stay.
